Gas Fireplaces with an Original Antique Faceplate
These original antique frames are off those small fireplaces that you see throughout Central Ohio most notably in Clintonville, German Village, Olde Towne East & Victorian Village. These ornate pieces were attached to old gas heaters back in the day that were eventually outlawed for safety reasons.
Most of those 24" wide fireplaces are not usable now because they are too small to burn wood, and they're not capable of having gas logs since most of them are not made of firebrick. A great option we can do though is a small 24" ventless gas fireplace insert. These units boast a 99.9% heat efficiency rating, so not only will you have a working fireplace, but you will also have added supplemental heat to your home, especially if the power goes out!
These fireplaces that you will see below don't have to have these antique plates attached to them but it is an option for those wanting to keep the Victorian charm of their 100-year-old homes while adding a 99% heat-efficient gas fireplace.
Take a look below at the original antique faceplates that we offer and at some finished installations.
Where do I start?
The best way to start this process is to take measurements and photos of your fireplace and then either email them or come see us in our showroom where we have these on display. The measurements we need are the front width, back wall width, depth and height. Below is a measurement sheet if you would like to print it off.
